Sustainable Strategy

In the Federation we seek to make coffee, in the short, medium and long term, a profitable business, which contributes to the economic and social development of coffee families always favoring the care of natural resources.

Our sustainability proposal is developed in four fundamental axes, each with a specific strategic objective:

Economic axis

Environmental axis

Social axis

Governance axis

Development goals

Together with the materiality update, we analyzed our contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After a review of the SDG goals, the national goals stipulated in Conpes 3918 of March 15, 2018 and the actions and programs we carry out, contributions were identified in 13 of the 17 objectives, which related to the material matters defined in the previous exercise. Below is a table that shows which SDGs we are contributing to, their relationship with the material issues and the specific actions that support this contribution.

We execute projects

with excellence

Because of the effectiveness and transparency of the FNC in the management and execution of development projects, national and international cooperators see us as a strategic ally, channeling important resources for projects that impact the four axes of the value strategy. This has allowed us to substantially leverage coffee resources with those managed from other sources, to further enhance this management. In 2018 we created the Project Factory where innovation, project structuring and alliance management with third parties converge in search of financing and materializing initiatives that contribute to the value strategy of the FNC. Alliances are managed nationally and internationally with public and private actors, not only to obtain financing, but to access intangibles as new knowledge and capacity to influence key issues for the coffee sector.
