The FNC’s extensive coffee radio network is the key communication tool for transmitting timely, relevant and effective messages to Colombian coffee families. It is made up of programs nationwide, Coffee Panorama and the Adventures of Professor Yarumo, radio spaces broadcast through 54 stations of National Radio of Colombia; as well as Yarumadas and Excelsos issued through the 69 radio programs of the departmental coffee committees. 

TV and YouTube programs

With almost 25 years of activities, the Adventures of Professor Yarumo is considered as the educational-recreational television program with the greatest impact for Colombian coffee growers and farmers in general, rescuing the civic, social and moral values ​​of the rural producer. This television show, which airs on Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 6:00 p.m. In the institutional channel is a didactic, recreational and informative program with a pedagogical objective: to motivate and inform coffee families and the country in general, about progressive practices promoted by the National Federation of Coffee Growers. Through daily teachings and stories of the countryside and its characters, our Professor Yarumo seeks to raise awareness towards the preservation of our natural resources and highlight the cultural manifestations of the different Colombian regions. More than 1,300 programs capture the national coffee reality in their images, as well as other geographical, economic and natural regions, where Colombian wealth and beauty can be appreciated.

Colombian coffee reaches USD 54 / lb at first auction abroad

-The auction was organized by the FNC with the best coffees from the 4th national quality contest “Colombia, Land of Diversity”.   -The price of 54 dollars per pound was reached by the coffee grower Wilton Renso Benítez, of Villamaría, Caldas.
